2023 FEW Basic information (current as of 9/7/2023)

Hotel: Once again we will be the guests of the Huron Motel 6, one of the most modern Motel 6 locations in the country. They have been our host hotel for over a decade, and always roll out the red carpet for us.

Meals: Breakfast and dinner will be served at Blue Ribbon Catering Hall, just a few minutes’ drive from the hotel. Bring your appetite because the folks at Blue Ribbon pride themselves on making sure no one is ever hungry!

Seminars: Our morning fishing meeting and evening seminars are held at the Blue-Ribbon Catering Hall, making it easy to meet, eat and share information all in one place. Seminar speakers scheduled to appear include Lance Valentine will spearhead the majority of seminars this year other speakers TBD

Boat Parking: The City of Huron graciously allows us to park our boats in the parking lot of Faban’s Park just around the corner from the hotel. The parking lot has power access on the light poles, is lighted and is patrolled by the Huron Police and has ample parking area.

Slips: Slips are available at Holiday Harbor Marina and a slip with electric access is available upon request. In your welcome packet we will supply the contact to Holiday Harbor so you can reserve your slip. Slip rental fees are the responsibility of the boat owner.

Launch: The City of Huron has a fantastic launch that is free to the public. There is a lot of parking, but it is busy in the fall. There is a good launch at Holiday Harbor that cost $5 and is much less crowded.

Fuel: Fuel is available on the water. We will have locations and times verified before the event so you can plan your days accordingly. There are also several stations around Huron with Rec Gas at the pump. We will have a list in your welcome package.

Workshops: There will be daily workshops both on and off the water. Details, schedule and locations will be released soon. Some workshops that will be offered include Line Counter Reel Calibration, Transducer setup, Sonar updates and setup, Sonar Interpretation, Tackle evaluation and more.
